Mr. Ronaldson has 20 years of ILS and Asset Management, Reinsurance, Fund Administration and Audit experience.
Prior to joining Pillar in 2025, Mr. Ronaldson was SVP, Head of Operations at Renaissance Re, Capital Partners, responsible for the day-to-day operations of the AlphaCat platform. Mr. Ronaldson was also responsible for the platform integration following the Renaissance Re acquisition of Validus Re, who wholly owned AlphaCat.
Prior to joining Renaissance Re, Mr. Ronaldson was the Chief Financial Officer of AlphaCat Managers, Ltd. along with AlphaCat’s related Bermuda reinsurers, Bermuda domiciled funds, as well as Chairperson of the Valuation and Capital Return Committees.
Mr. Ronaldson holds a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and Economics from the University of the West of England. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and an Associate in Reinsurance (ARe).
