Mr. Larner has 15+ years of experience across the alternative investment industry. Prior to joining Pillar in 2025, he was responsible for Partners Group’s coverage of investors in the US Midwest, based out of Denver, Colorado. He also spent three years in their London office, managing relationships with UK institutions. Before Partners Group, Mr. Larner worked at Threadmark, a UK-based Capital Advisory firm. He covered European Institutions and was responsible for raising capital for a variety of private market strategies for Global managers. Mr. Larner also spent 4 years at JPMorgan in London and 2 years at a single-family office.
Prior to his career in finance, Mr. Larner served as an officer in the British Army, deploying on operations in Iraq and Kosovo and served as an Equerry to His Majesty King Charles II. Mr. Larner obtained his MBA from the Warwick Business School in 2011 and read law at the University of Birmingham, graduating with an LLB (Hons) in 2003.
